Scotney Castle is an English country house with formal gardens south-east of Lamberhurst in the valley of the River Bewl in Kent, England. Scotney Old Castle, which is on an island on a small lake, was built c.1378-80. Scotney New Castle, or simply Scotney Castle, was built between 1835 and 1843.
In St Marys, Ontario, Canada’s ninth Prime Minister Arthur Meighen has a statue, a school named after him and he is buried in the St Marys Cemetery.
